Poster (with text) for the 1979 Ridley Scott film 'Alien'.
Amazing work; I too would totally buy this as a large-format poster-print. Great choice with the addition of the egg/Dallas deleted scene too. Keep up the SUPERB work.
And this is why they're doing Alien 5 in May 2017.....well if you watched the movie trailer.
IMHO they are pushing the alien vibe to the max in the trailer because of the reaction to Prometheus - ie that during the making of Prometheus they wanted to do something different so were going out of their way to differentiate it as it's own thing within the universe of Alien. However, it turned out many people wanted more of the familiar stuff (I'm playing devil's advocate here as I enjoyed Prometheus and was glad to see it expanding the storytelling possibilities). Personally I'm not disappointed that Blomkamp's Alien 5 appears to be dead in the water, as I favour Scott as a director and a film that takes story elements of Prometheus and brings closer links to Alien sounds like a good thing. Whereas a film where 'the company' uses the alien form as bio-combat-suits sounds like just another iteration of Blomkamp's too familiar tropes. Retconning Alien3 out of existence is also problematic for me as it's a very interesting, if flawed, film. I'm Hopeful for Alien: Covenant, only grateful to Alien 5 for the fact that it may have steered Scott back into the horror element of Alien when he may have been thinking it's fear factor had waned over the years.
This is amazing!!! Ever considering doing ones for the rest of the Alien films, because that would be sick!
This is incredible
I'd defiantly buy this poster. This is so well made that it highlights so much about the movie, the characters, the alien egg and the Space Jockey. Probably would need to remove the Alien though as I feel that gives away the main threat of this movie a little too easily but apart from that this is a beautifully well made fan poster. Excellent work.
Would totally like to have an 18x24 poster of this. WILL PAY YOU MONIES.
I caught the little deleted scene in this image. On the left next to Ash. That was a nice touch! This was the one scene that stuck in my head when I first saw this film. I really wished it was in the theatrical release. The idea of a human being stuck in one of those eggs. Wow!
Fan-fracking-tastic. I imagine this is what the poster would have looked like if Drew Struzan had drawn it.
I think this is without a doubt the best Alien artwork that I have ever seen. Your illustrations are pretty exceptional. I'd say that you are just as talented as artists John Alvin, Richard Amsel and Drew Struzan. How might I obtain a poster (One-Sheet, 27" x 41") of this image?
Thanks, that's quite an amazing compliment. I'll see how large the original scan of this image is and whether it would print at the dimensions you state.
fantastic work of my fav film of all time
Fantastic! I wish I had a VERY high-res version of it, cause I'd like to print it postersize...
That's pretty amazing. The portraits are spot on (the only bit of criticism I have is that Dallas' face seems weird somehow, the left side of his face, or just the eye, seems to be squashed or something), great job with Ripley's shot.
Thanks. Dallas's face has a flare of light from the flame 'doubling' over his eye, which I suppose might appear to squash it.
This is very cool. Nicely done. Thank you for allowing your picture to be in the group.
Wait...is this not the actual movie poster? o.O
Thirty three years too late for that.
I think it reveals too much of the alien to be the actual poster. You don't really even see it until the end of the film, which made it all the more "unknowable". They tried the same technique for the early part of Creep, only for him to look like a chav on a saturday night anyway.
I agree completely. This is a poster that could only possibly exist years after the familiarity of the film and the classic creature. It's probably more of a retrospective homage that acknowledges all the elements, you can't get better than the the original - the teaser with the splitting egg - which evokes an atmosphere of terror without revealing anything at all.
Omg! This is amazing!
My fav alien art in this site

this is awesome
wow I can see jonesy down in the left corner
Beautifully done. The detail & likeness of the characters is phenominal, & the depth is astounding. Looks so real
Brings back memories...
Very well done there.
Very well done there.
Wonderfully done...great job not only with the quality of the art (which is great!), but also the composition and inclusion of all the characters/key elements...especially the shot of Dallas with the flamethrower ("No, not that way...the other way!!!"). Definitely one of the best "Alien" series related art I've ever seen.
Fantastic Dude, Makes me feel a genuine sense of fear and terror
Incredible artwork, lovin' this so much!
Very, very nice, although I think the guy with the basecap (I've forgotten his name, it's been a long time^^) looks a bit, well....liquid.
He's covered in sweat and oily water, so that's not such a bad description.
Bravo... great colors
