A backdrop and character sheet that formed a small part of my animation proposal for the missing Doctor Who stories The Tenth Planet part 4 and Power of the Daleks, I had about 4000 images before the project hit a brick wall. Might give it another go one day if somebody else doesn't get there first.
Unfortunately any skills I have don't really extend to animating in Flash. Not to a standard I was happy with anyway.
It's amazing how the image count builds up when you are working in layers for different expressions and reverse angles. Got too involved in it really with no guarantee of a green light, so got burned when it fell through and was left feeling very sickened and disillusioned by the whole thing. At the time I tried to get animator help on board from elsewhere so I could concentrate on images and storyboarding in detail, but nothing came back at a satisfactory standard IMO, and I was too fazed by what I'd already worked on to delve into becoming an animator for myself. However, 3 and a half years later, I am tempted to fire up Flash and see if I can give it a go. I'm sure there must be a good book available for CS5.
Oh yes! Please make it happen! But what did you mean by you weren't satisfied by your animation. Were the movements to stiff? And how about the work that have already be done, is it possible to see a short sequence of it?
Very nice array of work here! Is there any chance you could upload some more of the animation pictures please? I'm really interested in them, if this is a fair taster of their quality then they sound absolutely FANTASTIC!
