This. is. Awesome! I have to admit, I didn't much like the Tardis in the 1996 movie, the feel of it or the colors. This is the exact opposite, and the feel of the environment is very much like how I feel the the Tardis is supposed to be. I love the sleek design, all the little flashing buttons and lights, and how the small, compact room feels more like a control room, instead just one big room with a console in the middle. Great work!
looks cool, i can see the evolution from the 80s console room, honestly i like this more than what the 2005 series got. course in my mind the 8th doctors console room was the best(all steampunky) but i really like this interpritation, has a 2001 element to it.
VERY McCoy-era... definitely seems like something seven or five would fly around in given that they were the Doctor's most disposed towards computers banks 'n such. The gothic thing was mostly four/eight whereas the organic bit mostly belongs to the new Doctors. The others seem to be 'between' organic/techy
that design seems more of the universe of 'Alien' to me than Dcotor who...good design, but I espect Riply to walk through the door and some pilot masks to chatter to each other. Perhaps a little xenomorph to burst through an airvent!
I love it! Very sci fi tech. I note also that the basic structire of the console room-- musroom shaped console on a raised dias, police box doors on the interior, support struts merging into the ceiling to form part of the central control area-- has been adopted in every incarnation of the show since 1996. Hmmm! Someone owes you some money I think.
This would make a great 'secondary control room' in the new series I think.
