The Keys of Marinus - Island by Harnois75 The Keys of Marinus - Island by Harnois75
Susan plans to go paddling, little realising that the tidal pool is not water but acid, in the opening scenes to the Dr Who story The Keys of Marinus transmitted in 1964.

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous! I especially love the way all the clouds are sort of shooting out from around the pyramid, Susan's reflection in the pool, and that you even put in the detail of Ian's costume from the last episode. Would you mind if nabbed this and posted it on my profile at FF.net? I'm rewriting the Keys of Marinus with characters from New Who, and I've got some younger fans reading it who might want to have a look at what this scene looked like. (One of them actually brought this piece to my attention) Great job on this!!

Hi Thanks for the comments. I don't mind you're using the pic. There are a few others from Marinus too - Ice soldiers and maybe another one - can't remember. I'm also planning on doing The Brains of Morphoton, the wolves tracking Ian and Altos in the snowy landscape and The ruined temple in the jungle.

Thanks so much :) I saw the others, and loved them nearly as much, (But the beach one has a special place in my heart) especially the ice soldiers, which I found VERY eerie and atmospheric. Can't wait for the others you mentioned; I'm intrigued as to how you'll portray the Morpho's brains.
